Math Homework
Three to four nights per week, students have math Home Links to complete for math homework. The Home Link reviews the lesson from that day and the directions are explained. Please have your child do the homework in pencil.
Spelling Homework
Spelling homework has begun! We now have 12 spelling words. The assignments are as follows:
Monday= Write the words two times each
Tuesday= Put the words in ABC order
Wednesday= Write four sentences using at least one spelling word in each sentence.
Thursday= Study, study, study!
*** If you find your child is needs extra practice with the spelling words, try this:
- Word Cards- take small pieces of paper and make flashcards of the words
- Word Chop- Have your child write the word and chop the word into letter tiles. The rearrange the tiles to remake the word.
- Word Sort- Fold a piece of paper to make four sections. Use the squares to sort the words into similarities. Your child must be able to tell what the rule is for why they sorted. See below for example:
